Our transition to the new web technology we adopted earlier this year is a transition that did not end on that day. In reality, it is ongoing.
Although we left behind, in most cases temporarily, some features that were on our old web site, we have, thanks to this technology, taken great strides in decentralizing management of the site, making it more communal and more fluid. Just as we have become accustomed to saying “our Grand Lodge”, rather than “the” over the last couple of years, we can hopefully say “our Grand Lodge web site” with the same zeal.
To make certain we can continue in this same direction, we are asking for your help. If you would like to be part of our Grand Lodge Internet Committee, please let us know. There are several ways you can assist, including the areas content, pictures, ideas, features, functions, and the list goes on. Our goal is to engage several brethren, who will all be doing a little, thus avoiding the sense of drudgery that can be felt when one person is burdened with too many tasks.
All that being said, if you have a little extra time and the inclination, let’s talk and see where and how you can fit into the process of keeping our Grand Lodge web site both modern and relevant for future generations, as well as the present ones.
To take the first step in taking part in our Grand Lodge Web Site's future, please send an email to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope to hear from you soon.
William A Bussiere, PDDGM
Chairman, Grand Lodge Internet Committee
